Data Sources

Add images to projects for labeling

Adding Data Sources

A data source can be added when creating a new project or anytime within the Project details tab

Data sources can include both images (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP) and video (MPG, MP4, WMV) files.

  1. Navigate to "Project Details" tab

  2. Select what type of Data Source to add.

  3. Follow Setup instructions for chosen type

local files will be uploaded directly into HyperLabel, whereas files stored on AWS or Google Cloud Storage will simply be linked to their respective buckets. If you later update your local directory or remote bucket, you’ll have the option to re-sync its HyperLabel “data source,” so that it will match the directory’s new state.

Supported Formats

Data Caching

When using a cloud data source like Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage, you have the option to increase or decrease the default of 100 images that are saved on your computer. This can be useful in situations where you may not have connectivity and want to cache a larger number of images ahead of time so that labeling can be done offline.
